FOCUS ON ‘SLOW FOOD TRAVEL’: Western Visayas tourism struggles for appropriate response to a lingering pandemic as Dep’t of Tourism (DOT) Regional director Helen Catalbas retires.
Cristine Mansinares, newly designated Officer In-Charge (OIC) of the DOT Regional Office VI said she “will work on developing connections among small scale farmers, cooperatives and businesses,” as reported yesterday by sunstar.com.ph.
Mansinares was also reported to continue Catalbas’ program to restart tourism through the ‘Safely Experience Western Visayas First’ campaign.
Cristine Mansinares served as Chief tourism operations officer of DOT Region VI since February last year. Earlier, she was the Provincial tourism officer of Negros Occidental, and of Sipalay City prior to her stint in the province.
