'CERES LINER' OWNERS REMAIN NON-PARTISAN: Yanson matriarch Olivia denies pushing for any of local candidates in Negros Occidental. Vallacar Transit Inc. operator of Ceres Liner the biggest bus company in the country is not endorsing any local candidate for the May 9, 2022 elections. In a statement issued recently, Olivia Yanson dismissed reports that she is supporting a particular local candidate, saying she has been “maliciously dragged” into the issue. Yanson made the clarification in wake of talk among supporters of governor-aspirant John Orola that the latter is being endorsed by the Yansons. Olivia reiterated that her late husband Ricardo had been “resolute in his stand that the company would never be involved in any political party” and would just want to “establish a harmonious relationship with any political aspirant”. The Yanson family though is known to be a staunch supporter of President Rodrigo Duterte, who was the guest of honor during Olivia’s 86th birthday celebration here two years ago. Since 2019 Olivia Yanson and her children were regularly in the news as the family figured in the still ongoing intra-corporate feud involving the family-owned bus company. Vallacar Transit Inc. operator of Ceres Liner the biggest bus company in the country is not endorsing any local candidate for the May 9, 2022 elections.

In a statement issued recently, Olivia Yanson dismissed reports that she is supporting a particular local candidate, saying she has been “maliciously dragged” into the issue.
