BUDGET “DAGDAG-BAWAS” FOR INFRA PROJECTS IN ENGINEERING DISTRICTS: Iloilo City suffered P1.3 Billion cut, while Capiz gained P140 Million.
Capiz 1st District Engineering Office (CDEO1) will receive P140 Million more, on top of the P1.5 Billion budget in the 2021 General Appropriations Act (GAA).
Congressman Emmanuel ‘Tawi’ Billiones of Capiz 1st District told HilwayNews today that House Speaker Lord Allan Velasco has approved the P140 Million for additional projects in the district.
Capiz 1st District covers Roxas City and the municipalities of Panay, Panit-an, Pontevedra, Maayon, Pres. Roxas, and Pilar.
HilwayNews previously quoted Iloilo City District Engr. Rodney Gustilo that the P1.7 Billion budget proposed by Rep. Julienne Baronda were drastically cut to only P400 Million in the 2021 GAA.
