Lawyer Marilou Delumpa completes the slate of the 11th Guimaras provincial legislative board, or the “Sangguniang Panlalawigan (SP) after she was sworn in by Vice governor Cecile Gumarin on Thursday, August 14 as ex-officio member representing the Philippine Councilors League (PCL).
Marilou Delumpa, a municipal councilor of Nueva Valencia was elected PCL Guimaras chapter president on August 8, 2025. She joins two other ex-officio hold-over board members, Marcelo Malones Jr. and Hannah Lisa Callejas both representing the Liga ng Barangay and SK federation, respectively.
The Guimaras 11th SP (2025-2028) were upgraded to 10 regularly elected members, starting this term from the previous composition of 8 members – 4 from the first district (Buenavista and San Lorenzo), and 4 from the second district (Jordan, Sibunag and Nueva Valencia).
Now representing the first district are, Ariel C. Zambarrano, Rommel John G. Edang, Arthur A. Cartel Jr. and Raymond H. Gavileño.
For the second district – Felipe Hilan A. Nava, Alejandro D. Araneta, Paul Vincent G. DelaCruz, Marilyn G. Edang, Eros E. Elevencione, and Joel G. Tanaleon.
The expanded SP membership is consequent to the upgrading of Guimaras by the Department of Finance from 4th to 2nd class province effective January 2025.
