Iloilo City under GCQ in December

Jerry-Treñas

Mayor Jerry Treñas announced today, Iloilo City would continue to be under the general community quarantine (GCQ) next month.

Treñas referred to the decision from the national Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF) which extended the GCQ protocols in effect since November 1.

“We will be finalizing the protocols this December as many gatherings are expected,” the mayor said. Treñas has ordered the closure of business establishments found violating rules on permits and GCQ edicts.

“But we will be awarding P50,000 to barangays without COVID-19 cases this December,” Treñas said obviously continuing into the year-end a ‘carrot and stick’ template as response to the pandemic.
