Undersecretary Mary Jean Pacheco of rhe Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), with a team from DTI’s Supply Chain and Logistics Group (SCLG) visited Guimaras on May 1, 2025 to help find ways in enhancing the overall mango supply chain through the improvement of logistics solutions in particular.

Key logistics partners—Airspeed, RAF Logistics, PHLPost, and Fast Express—joined the visit to explore collaboration opportunities with local producers.

Their participation is vital in identifying supply chain gaps and developing sustainable logistics solutions that reduce costs, minimize delays, and improve product handling and delivery nationwide.

The delegation visited Guimaras Wonders Farm, Kokomojo Farm, and the Mango Growers Cooperative to gain insights into on-ground operations, engage with local farmers and operators, and identify areas for strengthening processes across the entire supply chain—from production and harvesting to logistics and market distribution.

This initial engagement supports the Manggahan Festival by promoting local mango products, boosting sales, and unlocking broader economic opportunities for Guimaras mango growers. The goal is to increase farmer income and ensure wider consumer access to premium-quality mangoes at competitive prices.

Joining in the visit were Juvy Benliro, OIC-DTI Guimaras with her team; Aurora Theresa Alisen, OIC Division Chief of the Industry Development Division, DTI Region 6; Ms. Joejin Galvez and Ms. Bella Galimba of the Guimaras provincial office for agriculture services (POAS).
