GUIMARAS OFFICIALS BREAK GROUND FOR BUENAVISTA HOSPITAL OPD COMPLEX

BUENAVISTA, GUIMARAS – Governor JC Rahman Nava led Guimaras health and provincial officials at the groundbreaking ceremony for the Buenavista Emergency Hospital Out Patient Department (OPD) Complex on Wednesday May 7, 2025 here in Barangay McLain.

The 1,050 square-meters facility will serve as “first station treatment” for outpatient cases through its dental clinic, OB-Gyne clinic, animal bite treatment center, three (3) general medical clinics, two (2) minor operating rooms, X-ray room, ultrasound room, ECG room, and TB-DOTS clinic.

Also to be housed at the complex are a triage section, records and supply rooms, conference room, administrative offices, and public comfort rooms.

The project is funded with P55 million by the provincial government and the Local Government Support Fund (LGSF), an initiative under the governor’s #KabataanFIRST program.

The program aims to provide quality, accessible, and affordable healthcare for Guimarasnons and reduce referrals to hospitals in Iloilo City.
