ILOILO CITY 30 AUGUST 2025 — Badiangan town mayor Suzette Mamon took her oath of office today as president of the League of Municipalities, Philippines (LMP) in Iloilo, following an organizational meeting held at Hotel del Rio in Iloilo City.
The gathering and selection were peremptory as no other group has contested the nominated set of officers for the 3-year term 2025-2028.
Other officers acclaimed were, Anilao mayor Maria Teresa Debuque – executive vice president, (Anilao), Miagao mayor Richard Garin – vice president, San Joaquin mayor Joe Abad Lazaro – secretary general.
Alimodian mayor Ian Kenneth Alfeche – treasurer, Bingawan mayor Matt Palabrica – auditor, Estancia mayor Bianca Requinto – business manager, Zarraga mayor Jofel Soldevilla – PRO, Mina mayor Rey Grabato – sgt. at arms, and Tigbauan mayor Virgilio Nene Teruel – legal counsel.
Each of the 5 congressional districts were represented by two directors — for 1st district, Guimbal mayor Jennifer Garin Colada and Igbaras mayor Vicente E. Escorpion Jr.; San Miguel mayor Bonifacio Salapantan Jr. and Leon mayor Lina Holipas for 2nd district;
Cabatuan mayor Elizalde G. Pueyo and Pototan mayor Rafael Enrique Lazaro for 3rd district; San Enrique mayor Niño Fernandez, and Dueñas mayor Robert Martin Pama for 4th district; Sara mayor Jon Aying and Barotac Viejo mayor Nielo Tupas for 5th district.
