JORDAN, GUIMARAS 31 JULY 2025 — some 122,416 ePhilIDs were issued by the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) Guimaras to residents in this island province as of June 2025 since the local implementation of the Philippine Identification System (PhilSys) on September 2022.
“The ePhilID is a printed, paper-based version of the national ID and serves as an official and valid proof of identity,” Provincial Statistics Officer Nelida B. Losare said.
Losare explained that the ePhilID or national ID in paper form, which measures A5 in size (14.8 x 21 cm), carries the same personal information and security features as the physical PhilID card.
“It is fully recognized and accepted in both government and private transactions, including access to social welfare programs, financial services, education, employment, and other essential services,” Losare said.
