The Civil Service Commission in Western Visayas spearheaded the “Pasidungog” highlighting the annual Philippine Civil Service Anniversary (PCSA) celebration on Wednesday, September 17, 2025 at Grand Xing Hotel in Iloilo City.
Regional Director Atty. Gaudioso Geduspan II of the Land Transportation Office were among the Gawad Dangal ng Bayan regional winners, with Erly M. Martir, Edward E. Baña, Shannon L. Nietes, Jocelyn G. Garbosa, Ma. Roselyn J. Palcat, Tina Marie A. Nuñez, and Cornelio T. Mabera.
Also cited during the PCSA ceremonies were 14 other winners under the Lingkod Bayan ng Pangulo Award, and Gawad PAGASA Award.
Another highlight to the ceremony was the “Program to Institutionalize Meritocracy and Excellence in Human Resource Management (PRIME-HRM)”. This recognizes agencies that were able to elevate their HR systems from transactional to strategic.
For this year, awardees in the region include the Department of Education (DepEd) – Schools Division of Antique, DepEd – Schools Division of Escalante City, Western Visayas Medical Center, Municipal Government of Buenavista in Guimaras, City Government of Iloilo, Municipal Government of Dao in Capiz, Department of Health – Western Visayas Center for Health Development, and the Department of Science and Technology Region VI.
