Iloilo board member #RolandoDistura has retained chairmanship of the Committee on infrastructure, as well as the Committee on disaster relief, management, and climate change adaptation, both of which he headed last term (2022-2025).

“With the concurrence of my colleagues in the provincial board (Sangguniang Panlalawigan or SP), I am pushing for a “Committee on energy” in the current term,” Distura said when interviewed by HilwayNews last week.
He explained the energy committee could help fast track approval for the proposed ordinance I-SIMPLE or “Iloilo Simplified Permits for Local Energy projects.
The SP has approved last session the assignment of chairmanships in the different standing committees. Board member Rolex Suplico is the floor leader as chair of the committee on rules.
