CAAP OFFICIALS in Antique to FINALIZE Evelio B JAVIER AIRPORT TURN-OVER

Gov Javier welcoming DOTr officials at EBJ airport

SAN JOSE, Antique – officials from the Department of Transportation (DoTr) and the Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP) met with governor Paolo Javier on Friday, September 19 to finalize the turnover and inaugural operations of the Evelio B. Javier (EBJ) Airport here at barangay Funda-Dalipe.

Javier welcomed Usec. Jim Sydiongco of DoTr, CAAP Director general Raul del Rosario, Engr. Ed Mangangalili, and some subordinates accompanied by representatives of senator Loren Legarda.

“Any date after October 15, the airport can already be inaugurated and begin operations,” Sydiongco announced while meeting with the governor.

The governor said that once operational the Evelio B. Javier airport would enhance linkages for tourism and local economic development.

Philippine Airlines (PAL) currently services EBJ Airport with three flights per week between Antique and Manila, every Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday.
