President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. accepted the resignation of Public Works and Highways secretary Manuel Bonoan effective September 1, 2025, Malacañang announces Sunday August 31.
Transportation Secretary Vince Dizon has been appointed as the new Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) chief, “tasked to lead an anti-corruption drive and a full organizational sweep of the department,” according to government-run Philippine News Agency.
Giovanni Lopez will serve as Acting Department of Transportation (DoTr) secretary.
