The Negros Occidental provincial board “Sangguniang Panlalawigan” (SP) last week approved in its inaugural session presided by Vice governor #JoseBenitoAlonso, the 30 standing committees as proposed during the body’s pre-session conference.
Board member Pal Guanzon is the floor leader as chair of the Committee on rules, laws and ordinances. He also heads the Committee on ethics and internal discipline, as well as the Committee on energy, transportation and public uutilities.
Other Board members and their committee chairmanships: Marxlen de la Cruz – finance and budget; Araceli Somosa – health and social services; Arthur Maranon – tourism, history; Bambi Depasucat-Sazon – oversight; Andrew Montelibano – agriculture, environment, games & amusements;
Paola Alonso – public works & land use, government enterprise & privatization; Nicholas Yulo – investments & promotions, international relations; Rita Gatuslao – women, family welfare, education, seniors; Hadji Trojillo – human rights; Ralph Alvarez – disaster preparedness; Jeffrey Tubola – coiperatives, labor & employment.
